How they compare
Pionex pioneered the 'exchange with built-in bots' model. You deposit funds there, configure a grid or DCA bot, and trade — no third-party integration needed. The bots are free; Pionex makes money on trading fees (0.05% per trade). It's clean, fast, and very popular for grid bot operators. Indikora is a different category. We don't custody your funds — your USDT stays on KuCoin or CoinEx. We provide the AI signal layer (5-agent consensus, behavioral Coach, AutoTrader) that runs on top of your exchange account via API. You can use Indikora WITHOUT using Pionex, and vice versa. The realistic comparison: Pionex if you want set-and-forget grid bots that work in ranging markets; Indikora if you want AI-driven directional signals with explainability and discipline coaching.

Which should you pick?
Pick Indikora if…
You want to keep funds on a major exchange (KuCoin, CoinEx) and add an AI signal + coach layer. You care about directional bias (when to be long), not just grid range. You want behavioral guardrails.
Pick Pionex if…
You're running pure grid or DCA bots in sideways markets. You're fine depositing funds on Pionex. You don't need AI directional signals — your thesis is 'price will oscillate in a range and I'll farm the spread'.
These products complement more than they compete. Many traders use both: Pionex for grid bots in ranging conditions, Indikora for directional AI signals on a separate KuCoin/CoinEx account. If you have to pick ONE, Indikora gives you flexibility (any exchange), Pionex gives you simplicity (everything in one place).
FAQ
Can Indikora's AutoTrader run on Pionex?
Not currently — Pionex doesn't expose a third-party order API in the same way KuCoin/CoinEx do. AutoTrader currently supports KuCoin and CoinEx as real exchanges.
Are Pionex bots really free?
Yes for the bot software. Pionex makes revenue on the 0.05% trading fee per executed order. A high-frequency grid bot will accumulate those fees, but per-trade it's lower than most competitor exchanges.
Is Indikora safer than Pionex?
Different risk profiles. With Indikora your funds stay on your own exchange (we use read-only/trade-only API). With Pionex you deposit to their custody. Pionex has run safely since 2019 but custody risk is real — Mt. Gox, FTX, etc. were also 'safe' until they weren't.
